Jesus never sent His disciples to do anything that He Himself had not done. In John 14:12 He said that anyone who follows (believe in) Him will do the works _*that He did*_ and even greater. TO DO GREAT THINGS BUILD GREAT TEAMS Part 16
Don’t just show the way – lead the way!
*_Leadership is not lordship._* You don’t give your work to other people and go to sleep. The Bible says, *_”Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.”_* (1 Peter 5:3, NLT).
*Can you describe yourself as a servant of your team or as its boss? How are you serving them? Do you work more than your people?* TO DO GREAT THINGS BUILD GREAT TEAMS Part 16
The greatness of a man is not measured by how many people who serve him, it is rather measured by how many people he serves. Jesus said, *_”The greatest among you will be your servant.”_* (Matthew 23:11, NIV).
As a leader, you must not only be in front, you must be seen to be in front. You can’t be the head if you are not ahead.
People follow what you do more than what you say.
No one will be inspired to work if your work is not inspiring.
No one will be inspired to give if your giving is not inspiring.
No one will be inspired to pray if your prayer life is not inspiring.
No one will be committed to your cause, if you are not committed.
No one will be excellent if you are not excellent.
No one will do anything that you are not leading with your actions.
You can teach the best message the best way, but it will not be lived unless you live it. Your life is the best sermon.
If you mean what you say you will do what you say. If you are not man of your words, you cannot lead.
*CLOSING STATEMENT*
_Leadership is not lordship. Leadership is influence. It is making people willing to do what you want them to do…You are in front to be followed, to show and lead the way. Your team depends on you for leadership, lead them!_
